About the position

The Cyber Systems Security Engineering Intern position at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) offers an opportunity to engage in innovative solutions addressing complex technical challenges in the aerospace industry. The intern will work within a structured team framework, conducting exploitation testing to enhance the integrity and security of weapon system environments. This role involves penetration testing and utilizing advanced techniques across various platforms and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct exploitation testing to improve integrity and security of weapon system environments.
  • Perform penetration testing across a wide variety of platforms and technologies.
  • Leverage technical and interpersonal skills in a cross-functional engineering team environment.
  • Develop exploits and recommend fixes based on identified vulnerabilities.
  • Perform source code and disassembled code reviews.

Requirements

  • Actively working towards a Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerodynamics, Computer Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • Possess or have the ability to obtain a Level II DoD Certification IAW DoD 8570.01-M within six months of assignment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with scripting languages such as Powershell, Kickstart, Ansible, or Python.
  • Ability to develop exploits and recommend fixes based on identified vulnerabilities.
