About the position

The Skunk Works (Lockheed Martin Advanced Development Programs) is seeking exceptional talent in Cyber Systems Security Engineering to join our team, which has a rich history of nearly 80 years in advanced aircraft development. This position is part of the Skunk Works Joint All Domain Operations (JADO) Team located in Fort Worth, TX, dedicated to securing modern technology to address critical gaps for the warfighter. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that cyber security requirements are accurately defined, decomposed, allocated, implemented, and assessed, ultimately leading to a cyber-resilient security design solution for various platforms, including Air Systems and Weapon Systems. In this role, you will actively participate in working groups, design reviews, and the creation of formal Risk Management Framework (RMF) and National Security Agency (NSA) artifacts alongside other Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) within the platform. You will provide essential security expertise to ensure that cyber security considerations are integrated throughout the product development lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include conducting a range of cyber risk analyses and security assessments, implementing patches and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to address cyber vulnerabilities, and developing documentation necessary for obtaining Authorizations to Operate (ATOs) in alignment with program schedules. Additionally, you will contribute to and implement Plans of Actions and Milestones (POAMs) to mitigate open cyber risks. This position requires a U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a government security clearance, as it is located at a facility that necessitates special access. Responsibilities

  • Ensure cyber security requirements are properly defined, decomposed, allocated, implemented, and assessed.
  • Participate in working groups and design reviews.
  • Create formal Risk Management Framework (RMF) and National Security Agency (NSA) artifacts.
  • Provide security expertise throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Conduct cyber risk analysis and security assessment methods.
  • Implement patches and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to address cyber vulnerabilities.
  • Develop documentation for installations and configurations necessary for Authorizations to Operate (ATOs).
  • Contribute to and implement Plans of Actions and Milestones (POAMs) to mitigate open cyber risks.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance or higher.
  • Security+ or CISSP Certification.
  • Experience utilizing Joint Special Access Program (SAP) Implementation Guide (JSIG), Committee on National Security Systems Instruction (CNSSI) 1253, and NIST SP 800-37 Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Experience analyzing, decomposing, and allocating security controls into executable security requirements at various system levels.
  • Experience with Technical Security requirements across multiple domains (Operating Systems, Networks, High Performance Computing).
  • Experience executing Security Hardening on diverse LINUX and Windows Operating Systems based on approved DISA STIGs and SRGs.
  • Extensive experience developing and maintaining core security documentation artifacts for A&A Packages.

Nice-to-haves

  • B.S. degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Cybersecurity, Computer Security, or Information Technology.
  • Background/knowledge working with information systems/environments that utilize the Open Mission Systems (OMS) standard and Universal Command and Control Standards Initiative (UCI) message set.
  • Ability to travel as required.
