About the position

The Cyber Systems Security Engineer Staff at Lockheed Martin - Rotary Mission Systems is responsible for leading the technical aspects of cybersecurity across multiple Electronic Warfare (EW) systems. This role focuses on enhancing cybersecurity through modern solutions, ensuring the resilience and security of products while collaborating with various stakeholders to develop effective cybersecurity strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Decompose Statements of Work (SOW) into modern cyber solutions for proposals within our portfolio.
  • Design and oversee the implementation of cybersecurity solutions across our EW systems.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop technical cybersecurity strategies.
  • Drive Software Assurance (SwA) and DevSecOps efforts to enhance Cyber Resiliency.
  • Design cyber artifact solutions to streamline the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and accelerate Authority to Operate (ATO) approvals.
  • Educate program engineers on implementing cybersecurity features within EW systems.
  • Implement Cyber Requirements Modeling across our product portfolio.
  • Architect cybersecurity features including Intrusion Detection, Digital Signature Verification, Security Event Audit Log Aggregation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent field.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of relevant cyber security, systems and/or software engineering experience.
  • Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II certification or higher (e.g. CompTIA Security+ or CISSP).
  • Proficiency in customer requirements.
  • Proficiency in Risk Management Framework proven via successful RMF ATO or equivalent accreditations.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with internal members and external customers.
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret DoD security clearance prior to starting this position.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree or higher in relevant field.
  • Experience with Statements of Work (SOW) decomposition into Cyber Engineering requirements.
  • Ability to design, implement, and oversee implementation of cyber solutions within products.
  • Understanding of cyber artifact solutions that could accelerate RMF process via rapid ATO approvals.
  • Desire to educate program engineers to aid in cyber product implementation.
