About the position

As a Cyber Systems Security Engineer within the Program Protection Organization at Lockheed Martin, you will play a critical role in overseeing all aspects of Anti-Tamper and embedded Cybersecurity for Missiles and Fire Control. This position is not just about traditional cyber engineering; it involves designing, implementing, deploying, and maintaining advanced System Security architectures and countermeasures that protect and enable innovative Lockheed Martin products. You will be responsible for ensuring that our systems are secure throughout their development life cycle, particularly in the context of Department of Defense (DoD) Weapon Systems. Your work will involve providing embedded System Security Engineering design and implementation, assessing and mitigating security threats and risks, validating security requirements, and implementing both hardware and software security solutions. You will analyze vulnerabilities and threats against the System Security posture of product designs and prototype countermeasures to defend against cyber-attacks. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with Hardware, Firmware, Software, and Systems Engineers to integrate System Security Engineering into a variety of high-integrity, security, and safety-critical Embedded Systems. This position requires a strong background in embedded products, such as missiles, fire control systems, and radar, making it a unique opportunity for those with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, implementing, deploying, and maintaining System Security architectures and countermeasures.
  • Providing embedded System Security Engineering design and implementation in all aspects of the System Security Engineering process for DoD Weapon Systems.
  • Assessing and mitigating System Security threats and risks throughout the embedded Weapon System development life cycle.
  • Validating System Security Engineering requirements decomposition, allocation, and analysis.
  • Implementing System Security Engineering solutions in both hardware and software.
  • Verifying the implementation of system security requirements.
  • Analyzing weaknesses, vulnerabilities, and threats against the System Security posture on product designs.
  • Prototyping and testing System Security countermeasures against cyber-attacks on Lockheed Martin products.
