About the position

Lockheed Martin, Cyber & Intelligence is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team in addressing one of today's most pressing challenges: the protection of critical networks and systems from cyber threats. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing UX/UI requirements across all TMOD domains, utilizing a User Centered Design approach to enhance the overall user experience. This position is integral to our mission of safeguarding financial assets, healthcare information, and critical infrastructure, ensuring the uninterrupted flow of energy that supports modern life. You will collaborate with cybersecurity experts and leverage cutting-edge technologies to proactively prevent threats in a fast-paced, real-world environment. As part of our program, you will also contribute to the modernization of legacy systems by adopting a microservices-based architecture. This involves working with innovative engineers to support critical applications within the Analytic mission. Your work will not only impact the immediate projects but also contribute to the broader goals of Lockheed Martin in maintaining national security and protecting vital information systems. Responsibilities

  • Implement UX/UI requirements across all TMOD domains using a User Centered Design approach.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity experts to protect critical networks and systems.
  • Modernize legacy systems using a microservices-based architecture.
  • Support critical applications within the Analytic mission.
  • Participate in the External Referral Program to help identify potential candidates.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in React and general Typescript/JavaScript experience.
  • Experience with design systems and UX design.
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years with a related Master's degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Next.js and Tailwind.
  • Knowledge of 508 (Accessibility) standards.
  • Familiarity with JAVA and AWS managed services.
  • Experience with Gitlab and Maven.
  • Understanding of modern databases (NoSQL, Relational, Object).
