About the position

As a Cybersecurity Analyst focused on Government System ATO support, you will guide government clients through the process of obtaining and maintaining Authority to Operate (ATO) certifications for their information systems. This role involves leveraging expertise in government cybersecurity standards to monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents, ensuring compliance with stringent security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with government clients to understand their system architectures and security requirements for ATO status.
• Conduct security assessments and risk analyses for government system compliance, identifying vulnerabilities and threats.
• Monitor security systems, logs, and network traffic to identify suspicious activity and unauthorized access attempts.
• Work with cross-functional teams to establish government-aligned security measures, including firewalls and access controls.
• Investigate and analyze security incidents to determine their cause and appropriate response.
• Develop and implement incident response plans, including containment and recovery strategies.

Requirements

• Active TS//SCI clearance with CI poly.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of experience as a cybersecurity analyst specializing in Government System ATO support.
• Strong experience in government regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements specific to ATO.
• Demonstrated experience achieving and maintaining ATO for cloud services from IL5 to IL6+ on NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS.
• Understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and infrastructure components.
• Strong proficiency in incident response and forensic analysis techniques.
• Expertise with government-specific ATO assessment tools and vulnerability scanning tools.
• Effective communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to various stakeholders.
• CISSP or equivalent certification to support DoD 8140 requirements.
