About the position

The Cybersecurity Analyst - Cybersecurity Engineer position at Northrop Grumman involves ensuring the security of devices and virtual systems within the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program. This role is critical in monitoring compliance and identifying threats to maintain the integrity of the Missile Defense System, which supports U.S. defense operations. The position requires a proactive approach to cybersecurity, utilizing various tools and methodologies to safeguard sensitive information and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor activity through Splunk.
  • Identify threats and vulnerabilities using ACAS and ESS.
  • Aid in continuous monitoring within eMASS to ensure systems remain authorized in different environments.
  • Train other cyber team members in their roles.

Requirements

  • An active Top-Secret clearance is required to start.
  • 2 years' experience with a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics or a related field; 0 years' experience with a master's degree; or 6 years' experience in lieu of a degree.
  • DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II / IAM - Level I or higher (e.g., Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA) is required to start.
  • Security engineering skills with a working knowledge of cybersecurity technology and DoD/Federal cybersecurity policy (e.g., DoDI 8500.01, NIST SP 800-53).
  • Understanding and utilization of Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).
  • Understanding of Risk Management Framework (RMF) Cybersecurity Lifecycle.

Nice-to-haves

  • CAP CND Cloud+ is highly desired.
  • GSLC Security+ CE is highly desired.
  • Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) system administration skills.
  • Previous background working in a virtual environment.
  • Previous background working with dockers and containers.
  • Administer ACAS and ESS (formerly HBSS).
  • Previous experience with ConfigOS.
