About the position

The Cybersecurity Analyst I position at Epsilon involves assisting with the monitoring of the company's vulnerability management suite and performing security-related tasks under the guidance of the Cybersecurity team. The role is crucial for identifying vulnerabilities, threats, and risks, ensuring compliance with security controls, and supporting internal auditing and remediation efforts. This hybrid position allows for both onsite and remote work, contributing to the security of Epsilon's information assets.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with monitoring Epsilon's vulnerability management suite.
  • Perform data analysis to identify vulnerabilities, threats, and risks.
  • Research emerging vulnerabilities and provide actionable solutions for risk mitigation.
  • Ensure organizational compliance with security controls for corporate certification and vulnerability management programs.
  • Configure and optimize vulnerability management applications and tools.
  • Verify information security controls using monitoring tools and provide reports to management.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of security tools and track remediation activities for compliance.
  • Develop systems to monitor system security and provide management reports.
  • Support internal auditing, remediation, and compliance efforts as required.
  • Monitor advancements in information security technologies.
  • Serve as an internal information security consultant to the organization.
  • Provide security cross-training to other technical personnel.

Requirements

  • Two years of Information Technology (IT)/security-related experience or a 2+ year degree with a related security major or concentration.
  • Familiarity with the operation of a Vulnerability Management application (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, Retina).
  • Broad range of IT skills including switching, firewalls, systems, virtualization, and log analysis.
  • Strong team player with professionalism in dealing with government agents and staff.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ability to work independently with guidance as needed.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in a compliance or regulation-driven environment.
