About the position

As a Cybersecurity Analyst II at RapidScale, part of the Cox family of businesses, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our digital environment. Your responsibilities will include evaluating, proposing, and implementing enterprise-class technology and processes to optimize security and mitigate threats as they arise. You will also develop and implement appropriate security standards and technology baselines, reducing cyber risks through a comprehensive approach that includes identification, implementation, and routine operation handoff. In this role, you will monitor and manage the security infrastructure's capacity, size, and scale, ensuring that our systems are resilient and capable of handling potential threats. You will conduct audits, document, and illustrate the security practices and procedures of RapidScale Operations, serving as a secondary resource for overflow work in vulnerability triage and remediation. Additionally, you will accept escalations for complex security incidents and lead security gap analysis, investigation, and analysis as needed. As an incident response Fire Marshal, you will lead and manage security efforts addressing cybersecurity priorities, making this a pivotal role in our organization. We are looking for someone who is not only technically proficient but also possesses strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify issues in advance. You will need to have a solid understanding of various security tools and technologies, as well as experience in implementing and integrating security measures across different domains such as Cloud Security, Endpoint Security, Data Protection, Network Security, Application Security, and Identity and Access Management. This position requires a willingness to work on a 24x7 on-call rotation schedule, ensuring that our security posture is maintained at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, propose, and implement enterprise-class technology and processes to optimize security and mitigate threats.
  • Develop and implement appropriate security standards and technology baselines.
  • Reduce cyber risks through identification, implementation, and routine operation handoff.
  • Monitor and manage security infrastructure capacity, size, and scale.
  • Conduct audits, document, and illustrate security practices and procedures of RapidScale Operations.
  • Serve as a secondary resource for overflow work in vulnerability triage and remediation.
  • Accept escalations for complex security incidents.
  • Lead security gap analysis, investigation, and analysis as needed.
  • Act as an incident response Fire Marshal and manage security efforts addressing cybersecurity priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and two years experience in a related field, or a master's degree with up to two years experience, or six years experience in a related field in lieu of a degree.
  • Knowledge of and prior hands-on experience in a wide variety of security tools/technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, and SIEM.
  • Cybersecurity Certification (e.g., Sec+, CISSP, CEH).
  • Experience in Fortinet, Palo Alto, Microsoft 365, AWS, Azure, IT service desk.
  • Knowledge of CSA CCM, NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC2, OWASP Top 10, SANS Top 25.
  • Strong domain expertise and technology implementation/integration experience in areas such as Cloud Security, Endpoint Security, Data Protection, Network Security, Application Security, and Identity and Access Management.
  • Willingness to work on a 24x7 on-call rotation schedule.
