About the position

SimVentions is seeking an experienced MBSE Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team in Fredericksburg, Virginia. This position is crucial for providing expertise in systems modeling to support Naval system engineering program development. In this role, you will be responsible for providing Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) support and will need to be fluent in SysML. You will maintain system and software design within an MBSE tool, provide SysML review support, and create and maintain common model profile templates. Additionally, you will assist with the transition to MBSE by developing and implementing a transition plan. Your subject matter expertise in systems engineering will be essential to ensure that system design remains aligned with project requirements. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience applying model-based systems and digital engineering procedures, processes, and methodologies. You will need to be certified as IAT Level II and possess strong communication skills to effectively present information both in writing and orally. Experience with MBSE tools such as Cameo/MagicDraw and other SysML modeling tools is required, along with a solid understanding of systems engineering aspects such as modeling and simulation, functional analysis, and requirements derivation and traceability. Professional interpersonal skills are also necessary to provide effective customer support.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • United States Citizenship
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience applying model-based systems and digital engineering procedures, processes, and methodologies/technologies.
  • Certified as IAT Level II.
  • Strong ability to communicate clearly and succinctly in written and oral presentations.
  • Experience with MBSE tools such as Cameo/MagicDraw and/or other SysML modeling tools.
  • Experience with aspects of systems engineering such as modeling and simulation, functional analysis, and requirements derivation and traceability.
  • Professional and effective interpersonal skills and the ability to provide face-to-face customer support.
