About the position

The Cybersecurity Analyst position at MS-MDHS is a full-time role focused on safeguarding the organization's information systems and data. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to cybersecurity threats and incidents. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying vulnerabilities and implementing security measures to protect sensitive information from unauthorized access and cyberattacks. The Cybersecurity Analyst will work closely with IT teams to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations, and will also be involved in developing and maintaining security protocols and procedures. In addition to threat detection and incident response, the Cybersecurity Analyst will conduct regular security assessments and audits to evaluate the effectiveness of existing security measures. This includes analyzing security logs, conducting vulnerability scans, and performing penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses in the system. The analyst will also be responsible for providing training and awareness programs to staff to promote a culture of security within the organization. The position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work under pressure, as the analyst will need to respond quickly to security incidents and provide timely reports to management. The Cybersecurity Analyst will also stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and threats, ensuring that the organization is prepared to defend against emerging risks. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of the organization's data and systems, making it essential for the overall security posture of MS-MDHS.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles.
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks and best practices.
  • Experience with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to incidents.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are preferred.
  • Experience with cloud security and compliance.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as HIPAA or PCI-DSS.
