About the position

The Cybersecurity Analyst position at COLSA involves leading application development and support for NASA's enterprise business systems. The role focuses on delivering expert-level cybersecurity direction and support in a fast-paced SAFe Agile development environment, ensuring the security and functionality of NASA's IT systems.

Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge of concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments.
  • Support enterprise Cybersecurity standards.
  • Develop and implement Cybersecurity standards and procedures in coordination with Government.
  • Recommend security processes for the organization.
  • Identify and report security violations.
  • Analyze and recommend Cybersecurity solutions based on customer requirements.
  • Support customers in developing and implementing processes and policies.
  • Analyze security requirements for various computer systems including mainframes and personal computers.
  • Support design and development of security features for system architecture requirements.
  • Perform vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems during all phases of the system development life cycle.
  • Ensure the safety of information systems data assets and protect systems from unauthorized access or destruction.
  • Ensure timely cyber monitoring and responses within established processes.
  • Communicate with senior customer stakeholders on reporting metrics and prepare required reporting.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or higher in a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of related experience.
  • At least one relevant certification such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, or CRISC.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of NIST Information Technology Security Special Publications (SP) 800 series.
  • Proven ability in planning, implementing, upgrading, and monitoring security measures for computer networks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Prior experience supporting NASA programs.
  • Experience managing operations in an Agile environment.
  • Experience with SecDevOps and Agile processes and/or tools.
