About the position

The Cybersecurity Analyst position at Mount Indie, LLC is focused on protecting high-impact digital assets by maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive program information. The role involves proactively identifying security risks, implementing protective measures, and responding to incidents in a dynamic environment. This position is ideal for detail-oriented cybersecurity professionals who are adaptable and proactive in their approach to security.

Responsibilities

  • Continuously monitor systems to detect unusual activities or potential security threats using SIEM tools like Splunk.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests using ACAS to identify and mitigate security weaknesses.
  • Respond to security incidents with timely actions to minimize impacts and investigate breaches to understand root causes.
  • Design and implement robust security measures to protect systems from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to strengthen protocols and ensure compliance with industry and governmental standards.
  • Prepare detailed reports on incidents, vulnerability findings, and overall security posture to inform decision-makers.
  • Stay current with cybersecurity trends, threats, and emerging technologies to proactively address potential risks.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree).
  • 8+ years in cybersecurity or a related field.
  • 2+ years in network security, demonstrating proficiency with tools and technologies.
  • Strong familiarity with operating systems like Windows and Linux.
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk) and vulnerability assessments using ACAS.
  • Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT certification.
  • Quick learner, team player with strong communication and cybersecurity principles knowledge.

Nice-to-haves

  • IAT Level III certification (e.g., CASP+, CISA, CISSP, or GCIH), or willingness to obtain within six months.
  • 2+ years of experience with cybersecurity in the DoD or Intelligence Community.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Familiarity with NIST risk management concepts and processes.
