The Office of Attorney General Tim Griffin is seeking a qualified applicant to serve as a Cybersecurity Analyst in the Special Investigations Division (SID). This division is dedicated to protecting the citizens of Arkansas by investigating a wide range of crimes, including internet crimes against children, human trafficking, cybercrimes, public integrity, election integrity, cold case homicides, missing persons, organized retail crime, and fraud. As part of this elite law enforcement team, the Cybersecurity Analyst will play a crucial role in the newly established Cybersecurity Squad, reporting directly to the Supervisory Special Agent over the Cyber Crimes Unit. The Cybersecurity Analyst will be responsible for providing technical support to SID networks, ensuring the protection of sensitive data within the SID system. This role involves conducting cybersecurity and cybercrime training sessions and presentations for Arkansas citizens, businesses, and governmental entities. The Analyst will also assist other government entities with cybersecurity issues and provide technical assistance to Office of the Attorney General (OAG) staff regarding malware, spyware, and other intrusion investigations. Additionally, the Analyst will support compliance with the Personal Information Protection Act and assist in cryptocurrency investigations. The position requires conducting both open and closed source intelligence investigations and performing mission-critical intelligence assignments in collaboration with federal, state, and local law enforcement and intelligence agencies. Candidates must possess a strong knowledge of cybersecurity and threat analysis, with a preference for those who have high technical expertise in network intrusion investigations and best practices. The ability to interpret statutes, administrative rules, and other authorities is essential, along with skills in investigation methods and techniques to develop evidence and compile information from records and analysis. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to prioritize, organize, interpret, and present complex information effectively. Proficiency in computer skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant programs, is also required. Furthermore, candidates should be capable of delivering informative and engaging presentations to the public on behalf of the office.
