About the position

As a Cybersecurity Analyst with a Top Secret (SCI Eligible) Clearance, you will join a team of motivated and highly skilled professionals dedicated to ensuring the security and integrity of our systems. This role is pivotal in maintaining the operational capability of our Vulnerability Management System across multiple enclaves, ensuring compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) directives. You will be responsible for administering and operating a suite of scanning tools, which includes the installation, updating, and patching of associated Linux and Windows-based servers. Your expertise will be crucial in producing, updating, and maintaining reports, dashboards, and metrics based on specific requirements, as well as ensuring that CMRS reports are published as mandated. In this position, you will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for ACAS and will report the current operational status of the scanning service at the start of each workday. You will also provide assistance to customers in their remediation efforts, communicating effectively both orally and in writing to keep them informed of system statuses and any issues that arise. Your role will involve attending required meetings to provide input and support to various personnel, including Information Assurance (IA) staff, and you will be expected to create, review, update, and test processes and procedures as needed. Additionally, you will conduct scans of standalone labs as required and collaborate with customers to develop and test scripts that enhance cybersecurity features and capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Act as ACAS SME.
  • Report current operational status of Scanning service as required upon start of each workday.
  • Maintain operational capability of the current Vulnerability Management System across multiple enclaves.
  • Maintain compliant scanning suite of tools including the installation, updating, and patching as required by DoD Directives of the associated Linux and Windows based servers.
  • Administer/Operate scanning suite.
  • Produce/update/maintain requested reports, dashboards, and metrics based off of requirements.
  • Ensure CMRS reports are successfully published as mandated.
  • Provide assistance as necessary to customers to assist in their remediation efforts.
  • Communicate with customer both orally and in written form as necessary to stay informed of status of systems and be aware of any issues and provide recommendations to improve cybersecurity services.
  • Attend required meetings and provide input as is necessary.
  • Provide backup support to HBSS personnel in monitoring the statuses of the modules (Rogue Detection, Server Task execution, etc).
  • Create/review/update/test processes and procedures as needed/directed.
  • Conduct scans of stand alone labs as requested/required.
  • Provide support to IA personnel (ISSOs, ISSMs).
  • Work with customer to develop and test scripts in order to augment Cyber Security features and capabilities.

Requirements

  • 4+ years experience
  • High School Diploma
  • TS/SCI Clearance
  • Experience with DoD cyber policies, RFM, STIGs, and IAVA.
