The Construction Project Manager at McDonald's is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the execution of reinvestment projects across Eastern Canada, specifically in Ontario and Atlantic Canada. This position is a full-time, fixed-term contract that reports directly to the Manager of National Reinvestment. The successful candidate will manage various types of reinvestment projects, including standard interior renovations, expansions, and compliance-related updates. The role requires a strong focus on project management, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. In this role, the Construction Project Manager will cultivate and promote positive working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including franchisees, corporate staff, general contractors, architects, vendors, and municipal authorities. The ability to communicate effectively and build strong partnerships is essential for success in this position. The manager will monitor and control the reinvestment project management process, coordinating efforts among various parties involved in the projects. This includes managing project budgets, schedules, and ensuring that all work conforms to established specifications and standards. The Construction Project Manager will also be responsible for developing project scopes, estimates, and tenders, as well as awarding contracts. They will create purchase orders and change orders, manage deficiencies, and oversee project closeout processes. Regular project reports and updates will be provided to management, and site visits will be required to ensure that projects are progressing as planned.
