About the position

The Cybersecurity Analyst will support the cybersecurity team at HomeServe USA in protecting the company's information systems and data. This entry-level, hands-on role involves daily monitoring, maintenance, and management of security tools and policies, while working closely with experienced professionals to respond to security threats and mitigate risks.

Responsibilities

• Identify security requirements through risk and business impact assessments.
• Monitor and manage security tools and systems, responding to security incidents and inquiries.
• Analyze security alerts and implement preventive measures.
• Administer the information security mailbox and ticket queues.
• Conduct regular security assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with team members and IT to update security processes, documentation, and policies.
• Define security configuration and operations standards for security systems and applications.
• Participate in security awareness training for employees and contribute to documentation and reporting.
• Assist in the analysis and response to phishing and other security threats.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• 1-2 years of experience or relevant coursework in cybersecurity, IT, or a related field.
• Familiarity with information security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
• Basic understanding of network infrastructure and security principles.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic cybersecurity environment.
• Passion for cybersecurity and willingness to learn from senior team members.
• Basic knowledge of network protocols and operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux) is a plus.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
