About the position

The Cybersecurity Analyst position is responsible for ensuring the safety of information systems and assets by performing complex security procedures and processes. This role involves protecting systems and data from unauthorized access or destruction, conducting forensic investigations, and managing internal vulnerabilities to comply with regulatory standards. The analyst will implement and administer cybersecurity systems while ensuring users adhere to security protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex security procedures and processes to ensure the safety of information systems and assets.
• Protect systems and data from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction.
• Conduct IT data and security forensic investigations.
• Manage internal vulnerability assessments to meet regulatory compliance.
• Implement and administer cybersecurity-related systems.
• Ensure users understand and adhere to necessary security procedures.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Cybersecurity related experience.
• Experience with Tenable/Nessus or other vulnerability scanning tools.
• Knowledge of endpoint protection, AV/XDR, and policy configuration.
• Experience with SIEM, logging/syslog, and alerting systems.
• Proficient in Windows/Linux Server administration of on-premise cybersecurity applications.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity tools such as Nmap, Wireshark, and phishing simulations.
• Experience in situational tabletop exercises related to malware, phishing, and ransomware.
• Knowledge of vulnerability scanning, identification, remediation, and penetration testing.
• Understanding of CIS benchmarks, NIST/Cybersecurity frameworks, and MITRE ATT&CK Matrix.
• Familiarity with IRS 1075, SSA, PII, threat vectors, threat hunting, incident response, and remediation.
• Experience with common IT infrastructure in large organizations.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with XQL, Python, and PowerShell.
• Cybersecurity certification.
