About the position

The Cybersecurity Analyst at BETA Technologies plays a crucial role in enhancing the company's Information Security program. This position involves managing findings from the Security Operations Center (SOC), tracking remediation efforts, and identifying areas for improvement in BETA's security posture. The Analyst will also collaborate with the Cybersecurity Incident Analyst to strengthen the team's capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Triage findings from BETA's SOC and other sensors, owning resolution where possible and documenting/tracking resolution by others where needed
• Document and track remediation of vulnerabilities and security-relevant misconfigurations, leading periodic reviews with operators of affected assets to guide resolution
• Conduct periodic access-control audits across BETA's information environment
• Continuously improve supporting resources and training by authoring and updating documentation
• Contribute reporting to inform periodic (monthly, annual, etc.) enterprise security posture reviews
• Participate in BETA's Information Security Incident Response Team (IRT)
• Cross-train with BETA's Cybersecurity Incident Analyst and understand their workflow sufficiently to provide coverage in the event of their absence

Requirements

• Strong general understanding of information security/cybersecurity topics
• Strong teamwork orientation
• Demonstrated ability to interpret security information for non-practitioners
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Experience collecting and analyzing data for reporting purposes
• Strong sense of initiative
• An interest in information security/cybersecurity Incident Response

Nice-to-haves

• Professional experience in an information security/cybersecurity role
• Professional experience with enterprise identity management (IdM; 'user account management')
• Experience delivering information security training in a professional setting
• Experience collecting data in support of reporting via web services APIs
• Academic degree in information security/cybersecurity
• SANS GSEC certification or similar
