About the position

The Cybersecurity Analyst position at By Light Professional IT Services LLC involves supporting the Network Enterprise Center at Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey. The role focuses on providing cybersecurity services, including the management of classified and unclassified communication systems, vulnerability assessments, and compliance monitoring. The analyst will work on-site, ensuring the security and integrity of network systems while adhering to Department of Defense (DoD) and Army regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Execute all AITP Cybersecurity related baseline services according to performance standards.
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and support security devices.
  • Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities in LAN topologies and components.
  • Perform vulnerability scanning of all networked devices as per NEC policy.
  • Provide support for enterprise network devices, including VPN access.
  • Assist in developing system management architecture design documents.
  • Support Cybersecurity-related service delivery and maintain SOP documents.
  • Follow DoD, Army, and RNEC/LNEC SOPs and TTPs.
  • Execute and support Authorization & Accreditation efforts, including RMF and eMASS requirements.
  • Prepare for and execute DoD inspections, including Cyber Operational Readiness Assessments.
  • Monitor compliance for customers to maintain network access and accounts.
  • Assist in compiling reports for physical security inspections.
  • Provide planning expertise for secure classified processing areas.
  • Maintain accountability of system PKI certificates and provide technical support.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and facilitate decisions on security countermeasures.
  • Provide updated vulnerability risk assessments based on authoritative sources.
  • Support the RMF process and manage cybersecurity risks to IT systems.
  • Monitor and report Approval to Connect (ATC) expiration dates.
  • Review and update required artifacts associated with security controls.
  • Manage compliance reporting for IAVM messages and corrective actions.
  • Develop IAVM Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M).
  • Monitor Wireless Intrusion Detection System (WIDS) and analyze logs for security anomalies.
  • Respond to Negligent Discharge of Classified Information incidents and report accordingly.
  • Compile and provide information systems vulnerability reports to the COR.
  • Administer network accounts and passwords, ensuring appropriate access levels.
  • Support after duty hour emergency maintenance requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science from an accredited institution.
  • Experience with wireless monitoring and Wardriving.
  • Knowledge of log collection and analysis.
  • Experience with Incident Response related to Cybersecurity incidents.
  • Familiarity with client computer and server operating systems used by the DoD and Army.
  • Ability to communicate Cybersecurity concepts to both technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Experience in developing technical documents and system design documentation.
  • Knowledge of DoD and Army A&A requirements, including RMF and eMASS.
  • Experience with Cybersecurity vulnerability assessments and mitigation.
  • Knowledge of the DoD's and Army's current ACAS for vulnerability scanning.
  • Experience with the DoD's and Army's HBSS for endpoint security.
  • Knowledge in applying DISA STIGs or security controls for IT systems.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work within a set schedule.
  • Possess an Intermediate certification for the DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) role Systems Security Analyst.
