About the position

Kforce has a client in Auburn Hills, MI that is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to be a member of a cross-functional team that will be working closely with IT Operations, Applications, and Cybersecurity - Risk & Compliance. This position will be supervised by a Senior Security Manager. The Cybersecurity Analyst will play a crucial role in implementing and managing security appliances, leading Cybersecurity Awareness and Training Programs, and publishing event management escalations. The analyst will also participate with a Security Operations Center (SOC) functional team and engage in Change Management meetings, conferring with remote Security Operations Center Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as needed. Additionally, the analyst will be responsible for generating monthly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting on vulnerabilities and remediation efforts. Keeping current with industry trends and technological innovations is essential, as the analyst will be expected to make recommendations to management on relevant programs or systems pertaining to Cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Implements and manages security appliances
• Lead Cybersecurity Awareness and Training Programs
• Publish event management escalations
• Participates with a SOC functional team
• Participates in Change Management meetings
• Confer with remote Security Operations Center SMEs as needed
• Generating KPI Reporting monthly on vulnerabilities and remediation
• Keep current with industry trends and technological innovations and make recommendations to management on relevant programs or systems as pertaining to Cybersecurity

Requirements

• Familiar with the commonality of tabletop exercises
• Understanding different layers of cybersecurity protection
• Understanding value of documentation, policies and procedures, and creation of usage of templates of procedures
• Some knowledge and understanding of risk assessments
• Can generate and execute internal IT audits: Compliancy & Governance
• Familiarity with industry standard Cybersecurity protocols and best practices
