About The Position

EP Wealth Advisors (EPWA) is seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team at our headquarters in Torrance, CA. This role is crucial in safeguarding our electronic information systems and minimizing data risk exposure. The ideal candidate will advocate for best practices from both technical and security perspectives, demonstrating solid judgment and confidence in decision-making. You will be part of a dynamic team focused on delivering exceptional client service while upholding our core values of Integrity, Entrepreneurial spirit, Inclusion, and Connection. As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will assist in managing endpoint and identity protection within a Windows environment, utilizing the Microsoft 365 suite of tools. Your responsibilities will include administering Active Directory Single Sign-On (SSO), MS Entra, and MS Defender for security purposes. You will collaborate on Managed Detection and Response (MDR) and Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP) for threat detection and incident response, responding to tickets and interacting with employees impacted by security events. In addition, you will develop, implement, and manage IT security policies and procedures, oversee the installation and improvement of malware detection and prevention software, and coordinate with our Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) to monitor systems for unusual activity. Your role will also involve analyzing vulnerabilities, implementing risk mitigation measures, and conducting scheduled and ad-hoc IT security audits. You will be expected to maintain and adhere to EP Wealth's cybersecurity plan, support disaster recovery efforts, and continuously improve security standards and best practices. The position requires a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably in a security analyst role, along with a strong understanding of information security principles. Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards, such as MITRE ATT&CK, COBIT, and ITIL, is essential. You will also need to possess excellent communication skills to effectively convey security risks and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This role may require travel to client sites in the greater Los Angeles area and throughout the US.
