The Cybersecurity Analyst at Joint Research and Development, LLC (JRAD) is a critical role responsible for assessing current levels of cybersecurity and defining acceptable risk levels. This position requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity practices and the ability to identify potential vulnerabilities in cyber and information security. The analyst will utilize various technologies for network scanning, patching, and responding to cyber threats. The role involves planning, managing, and conducting data collection and analysis to support cybersecurity assessments, serving as an advisor on all aspects of the assigned program's cybersecurity areas. In this position, the analyst will be responsible for identifying cybersecurity requirements for information systems certification and accreditation. This includes compiling new information, considering data from various sources, and following standard approaches to plan and execute assignments. The analyst will review, conduct, and evaluate sampling, surveys, and findings, while monitoring operations to identify and rectify problems. Participation in meetings regarding cybersecurity concerns related to assigned projects is also a key responsibility. Additionally, the analyst will monitor budgets, safety requirements, and ensure quality standards are met. There may be a requirement to serve as a Combatant Command Liaison Representative, which includes providing direct planning, coordination, Information Assurance, Interoperability, and Mission Assurance assessment and exercise support both onsite and potentially abroad.
