About The Position

As a cybersecurity analyst at Foundation Software, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our organization from cyber threats. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring security alerts, analyzing security data, and responding to security incidents. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify security vulnerabilities, assess security risks, and implement effective security controls to mitigate these risks. This position requires a proactive approach to maintaining the security posture of the organization, ensuring that we are well-prepared to handle any potential threats. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring security alerts and logs from various sources, including intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), security information and event management (SIEM) tools, and endpoint security solutions. Your analytical skills will be essential as you analyze security data to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies that may indicate potential security threats or vulnerabilities. You will also investigate security incidents to determine their root cause, assess the extent of their impact, and document your findings in detailed incident reports. Additionally, you will develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines that govern the organization's security operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration tests will be part of your responsibilities, as you work with IT and development teams to implement necessary remediation measures. You will also manage security awareness initiatives by developing training materials and conducting sessions to educate employees about security best practices and policies. Staying updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies will be vital, as you will provide recommendations for security enhancements and improvements. Your ability to communicate security risks and requirements to stakeholders across the organization will be key in fostering a culture of security awareness and compliance.
