About the position

The Cybersecurity Analyst at Swickard Shared Services is responsible for performing information security and cybersecurity analysis to protect the organization's information systems and infrastructure. This role involves planning, implementing, and monitoring security measures, as well as delivering incident detection, response, threat assessment, and vulnerability assessment services under the direction of the Director of Corporate Security.

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical risk assessments and reviews of account permissions, computer data access needs, security violations, programming changes, and new and existing applications and systems.
  • Conduct cybersecurity incident detection, analysis, and prevention.
  • Perform vulnerability scans of networks and applications to assess effectiveness and identify weaknesses.
  • Conduct forensic analysis of information systems and portable devices, including forensic recovery of data using assessment tools.
  • Monitor systems and procedures to protect data systems and databases from unauthorized access.
  • Analyze cybersecurity alerts from cybersecurity tools, network devices, and information systems.
  • Support the implementation of computer system security plans with agency personnel and outside vendors.
  • Develop plans to safeguard computer configuration and data files against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure.
  • Modify and monitor computer configuration and data files to incorporate new software and virus protection systems, correct errors, or change individual access status.
  • Implement continuous automated security compliance capabilities.
  • Research and analyze cybersecurity threat indicators and their behaviors for the prevention, detection, containment, and correction of data security breaches, and recommend threat mitigation strategies.
  • Train users and promote security awareness to ensure system security and improve application, server, and network efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information security/cybersecurity, information technology, computer science or related field required.
  • Experience in Information Security, including vulnerability management, SIEM administration, and/or incident response responsibilities.
  • Experience in network administration and support in a complex multisite enterprise environment.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to provide the applicant with the knowledge, skill and ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
