About the position

The Cybersecurity and Facilities Services Director will provide vision and leadership in the planning, development, and implementation of organization-wide Cybersecurity and Facilities Services programs. This role is crucial for supporting business operations and achieving efficient, effective, balanced, and cost-beneficial operations. The Director will oversee all aspects of cybersecurity and facilities services, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission, vision, values, and board policies, while also participating in corporate growth planning and strategic development.

Responsibilities

  • Establish the company's cybersecurity & facilities services vision and future planning.
  • Provide strategic and tactical planning, development, evaluation, and coordination of the cybersecurity & facilities services for the organization.
  • Develop strategic plans identifying cybersecurity & facilities services programs to support business plans or create new strategic options.
  • Plan and control staffing and development, organization, hardware acquisitions, and facilities for cybersecurity.
  • Maintain a balance between cybersecurity and operational efficiency following the principles of Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of company data.
  • Approve, coordinate, and control all projects related to selection, acquisition, development, and installation of major cybersecurity systems.
  • Provide advice on evaluation, selection, implementation, and maintenance of cybersecurity & facilities systems.
  • Evaluate systems to measure their success.
  • Develop policy, procedures, and standards to ensure the protection of the company's assets and the integrity, security, and privacy of information.
  • Coordinate and oversee the execution of cybersecurity risk assessments and mitigations.
  • Maintain current knowledge of leading-edge technologies and help implement those technologies that make business sense for MERS.
  • Ensure that the design, implementation, and evaluation of cybersecurity systems support end users in the productive use of computer hardware and software.
  • Design effective cybersecurity & facilities services teams structure, efficient workflow, and performance standards.
  • Provide leadership to cybersecurity & facilities services in a manner that supports the organization's culture, vision, mission, and values.
  • Consult with stakeholders across the organization as an advisor of cybersecurity & facilities services.
  • Facilitate communication between staff, management, vendors, and other technology resources within the organization.
  • Serve on corporate-wide or cybersecurity-specific governance groups as necessary.
  • Build effective internal communication strategies, cybersecurity plans, and policies throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • Management experience in cybersecurity and facilities services.
  • Knowledge of CCISO and CISM certifications.
  • Experience in system design and software development.
  • Familiarity with NIST standards and project management methodologies.
  • Senior-level experience in cybersecurity and AI leadership.
  • Certified Internal Auditor.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge and/or experience in a public sector retirement services setting, specifically in technology, cybersecurity, and information systems planning.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $129K - $163K per year.
