About the position

The Cybersecurity and Forensics Faculty position at the Community College of Baltimore County involves teaching a variety of cybersecurity and digital forensics courses within the Networking Department. The role requires a full load of instruction across Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters, along with responsibilities in college and community service, student advising, and ongoing professional development. The faculty member may be required to teach at multiple campuses and is expected to engage in hands-on student learning and effective teaching practices.

Responsibilities

• Teach a variety of cybersecurity and digital forensics courses.
• Facilitate and support student learning through effective instruction.
• Communicate academic information to students, including syllabi and policies.
• Provide program-related student advising and conduct office hours.
• Maintain and organize instructional materials and student work.
• Manage the Learning Management System (e.g., Brightspace) for course materials.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curricular development and assessment practices.
• Attend and participate in departmental and college meetings.
• Engage in college and community service initiatives.
• Maintain professional expertise through ongoing development and scholarship.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Cybersecurity or a related field.
• Two years of related industry experience in cybersecurity or digital forensics.
• Two years of full-time college-level teaching experience or four years of adjunct instruction.
• Preferred online teaching experience.
