About the position

As a Cybersecurity and Program Protection Analyst at Booz Allen Hamilton, you will leverage your domain knowledge to create innovative cybersecurity solutions that align with our clients' missions. You will apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts to tackle unusually complex problems, providing highly innovative solutions. This role offers substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision-making, allowing you to operate independently while also mentoring or supervising employees in both firm and technical competencies. Your expertise will be crucial in developing new principles and concepts that enhance our cybersecurity capabilities. In this position, you will be responsible for applying your experience in the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity guidance. You will engage in Information System Security Engineering (ISSE) disciplines and techniques, focusing on the creation of authorization packages, implementation of security controls, and secure design practices. Your ability to conduct cybersecurity assessments of new or existing architectures will ensure compliance with security requirements from various frameworks, and you will create documentation to support information system authorization packages while providing continuous monitoring support. You will also develop architecture deliverables specific to information security countermeasure implementations for operational systems and systems under development. Assisting in the development of security policies, standards, and guidance will be a key part of your role, as will implementing security controls in embedded systems and avionics in accordance with the requirements set forth by Authorizing Officials (AOs), the Air Force, DoD, and Commerce. This position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance, and a Bachelor's degree in Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity is essential.

Requirements

  • Experience in Risk Management Framework (RMF) and DoD cybersecurity guidance.
  • Knowledge of Information System Security Engineering (ISSE) disciplines and techniques.
  • Experience with Access Only Authorization Packages and associated AOs.
  • Knowledge of the System Development Lifecycle and Systems Engineering (SE) design principles.
  • Ability to conduct cybersecurity assessments for compliance with security requirements.
  • Ability to create documentation for information system authorization packages.
  • Ability to develop architecture deliverables for information security countermeasures.
  • Ability to implement security controls in embedded systems and avionics.
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity.
  • IAT Level II DoD 8140.01 or 8570.01-M Certification.
