About the position

The Cybersecurity Architect - Salesforce Security at Robert Half is responsible for developing secure solutions for Salesforce developers and operations teams. This role involves creating architecture diagrams, coding in Apex, Lightning, and MuleSoft, and providing analyses of various Salesforce platform options. The architect will collaborate closely with both the Salesforce and Information Security teams to ensure the security of the Salesforce platform, including custom APIs and data access. The position requires a strong understanding of security best practices and the ability to evaluate vendors and products for security risks.

Responsibilities

  • Build best-practice solutions to problems involving Salesforce platform-native tools and third-party tools.
  • Develop solutions, both architecture and code, that reduce risk and are developed effectively and efficiently.
  • Act as a communication link between the Salesforce team and the Information Security team, especially during incident response scenarios.
  • Become an expert in the business logic of various teams' applications and make recommendations specific to their use case.
  • Evaluate vendors, products, and procedures for technical risks using various security tools.
  • Embed within Salesforce development or architecture teams on a long-term basis.
  • Educate the Salesforce team on Information Security concerns and best practices.
  • Collaborate with teams managing existing Salesforce operations to improve visibility and accountability around logging, monitoring, and alerting.
  • Develop custom Salesforce integrations with SaaS security tools and IAM tools.
  • Stay up-to-date with Salesforce releases and security best practices.
  • Guide the Information Security department in creating policies relevant to Salesforce for governance and incident response.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of senior-level experience with Salesforce and security architecture/engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Deep knowledge of the Salesforce platform and development lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated history of building production applications with leading Salesforce development teams.
  • Experience in related cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and API integrations with Salesforce.
  • Experience with MuleSoft, Java, and associated configuration.
  • Experience working with services and vendors that support Salesforce development and operation.
  • Salesforce and/or Information Security-focused certifications (CISSP, CISA, CCSP, CEH, AWS, etc.) are a plus.
  • Experience with securing cloud-based technology deployments that span Salesforce and other cloud services.
  • Solid expertise with multiple Salesforce code paradigms, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, and JavaScript.

  • Salesforce and/or Information Security-focused certifications (CISSP, CISA, CCSP, CEH, AWS, etc.) are a plus.
