About the position

The Cybersecurity Architect role is focused on designing and implementing robust security architectures to protect organizational assets against cyber threats. This position requires extensive experience in IT security, identity access management, and the ability to assess and enhance security frameworks within organizations. The successful candidate will collaborate with various teams to develop security strategies that align with business goals and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assess enterprise security architecture to determine the strength of security foundations within organizations.
  • Design and implement security measures from top to bottom and bottom to top within organizations.
  • Conduct technical security architecture assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of designs in mitigating cyber threats.
  • Plan, manage, and organize the delivery of security architecture services to clients.
  • Identify and evaluate complex business and technology risks and recommend internal control improvements.
  • Install, integrate, and maintain Identity & Access Management products in client environments.
  • Communicate IAM aspects of production support and maintenance at both technical and functional levels.
  • Work on large-scale transformation programs to enhance cybersecurity capabilities.
  • Influence senior stakeholders using security architecture methods and collateral.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in infrastructure, IT security, and identity access management.
  • Cybersecurity qualifications such as CISSP, CISM, CREST Technical Security Architect, or ISO Lead Auditor.
  • Proven track record in cybersecurity consulting, particularly with complex client problems.
  • Experience with architectural methodologies and frameworks like SABSA and TOGAF.
  • Familiarity with technologies including networks, servers, virtualization, and identity management.
  • Strong understanding of threat modeling, risk assessment, and necessary controls.
  • Knowledge of risk and regulatory frameworks such as NIST 800, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Palo Alto, endpoint security, and database encryption.
  • Familiarity with security methodologies, best practices, and industry standards.
