About the position

This internship offers an opportunity to support the Unclassified Cybersecurity team at Idaho National Laboratory (INL) in managing cybersecurity risks associated with enterprise applications. The intern will validate application security controls, assist application owners in identifying controls, and understand processes that support secure application development. Responsibilities include reviewing configurations, code, and vulnerability results, as well as developing guides and documentation related to cybersecurity controls.

Responsibilities

• Support the Unclassified Cybersecurity team in managing cybersecurity risks.
• Validate application security controls for enterprise applications.
• Assist application owners in identifying security controls and understanding secure application development processes.
• Review configurations, code, and vulnerability results.
• Follow up on missing controls or findings.
• Develop guides, procedures, and documentation of planned or in-place controls.
• Perform fundamental analysis of cybersecurity risk in enterprise systems.

Requirements

• Undergraduate or Graduate student enrolled full-time in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. (including CPT and OPT).
