About the position

The Cybersecurity Compliance Consultant role at Truist involves identifying and assessing the company's cybersecurity legal, regulatory, and industry compliance. The consultant will execute strategies to close compliance gaps, manage cybersecurity risks, and establish policies and standards to safeguard the firm's systems and data. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to conduct assessments and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Establishes a strategic approach to information/cyber security compliance according to laws and regulations.
• Analyzes requirements to support the creation of enterprise-wide policies and standards.
• Monitors reporting on information/cyber security compliance and related risk & controls programs.
• Identifies solutions for potential regulatory risks and maintains an internal inventory of applicable U.S. laws and regulations.
• Ensures regulatory rules are incorporated into compliance policies, standards, processes, training, and monitoring activities.
• Works with stakeholders to perform cyber governance routines and conduct cyber risk and compliance assessments.
• Performs data analysis and interpretation for risk factors and presents KRI metrics and analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in regulatory affairs, business, organizational or compliance law, or financial services.
• Five years of related experience in legal, compliance, risk management, or project management.
• Strong knowledge of cyber governance terms, disciplines, and frameworks.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience interacting with financial services regulatory bodies such as OCC, FRB, FDIC.
• Cybersecurity certifications such as CISA, CISSP.
• Banking or financial services experience.
• Regulatory Change Management experience.
