About the position

As a Cybersecurity Consultant at Presidio, you will play a pivotal role in the Pre-Sales Engineering Team, engaging directly with customers to understand their business initiatives and security requirements. Your primary responsibility will be to translate these business needs into comprehensive technical and security architectures. This role requires you to present and explain cybersecurity solutions to clients, guiding them through the requirements gathering process and formulating tailored solutions that encompass hardware, software, licensing, and engineering services. You will be expected to provide technical thought leadership in the development of overall security solutions, ensuring that they align with industry standards and compliance requirements such as PCI, HIPAA, ISO 27001, NIST, CSF, ITIL, COBIT, Sarbanes Oxley, and SANS 20. Your expertise will be crucial in designing scalable security architectures that adapt to changing business needs while protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA) of data. In addition to technical responsibilities, you will collaborate closely with the sales team to identify and qualify opportunities with both new and existing clients. Your role will involve crafting scopes of work (SOW) and Bill of Materials (BoM) for various projects, as well as establishing yourself as a Trusted Advisor to Presidio's customers. You will also engage with strategic vendors and promote solutions that maximize profitability, while continuously updating your skills to keep pace with the evolving cybersecurity landscape. This position is remote but requires candidates to reside on the East Coast, with expected travel ranging from 25-35%. You will have the opportunity to present in front of large audiences at seminars and conventions, showcasing your knowledge and expertise in cybersecurity solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Understand client's business initiatives and requirements and map these needs into technical and security architectures.
  • Present and explain cybersecurity solutions to customers, guiding them through requirements gathering.
  • Formulate solutions consisting of hardware, software, licensing, and engineering services.
  • Provide technical thought leadership in overall security solutions development.
  • Meet with customers to collect requirements for infrastructure solutions centered on Security Technologies.
  • Assist the sales team in identifying and qualifying opportunities with new and existing clients.
  • Design and provide data-centric security architecture and defense in depth solutions.
  • Support Security Solutions that include solutions from various leading industry vendors.
  • Design and demonstrate scalable security solutions that adapt to changing business requirements.
  • Provide security solutions that align with customer's compliance requirements and industry standards.
  • Craft scope of work (SOW) with task lists and Bill of Material (BoM) for various projects.
  • Collaborate with the Presidio sales team to develop customer relationships and contribute to the sales process.
  • Collaborate with the National Cyber Security Solutions team.
  • Establish status as a Trusted Advisor with Presidio customers.
  • Craft high-level solution designs/architecture and present to customers.
  • Collaborate with Presidio's Professional Services organizations on developing deployment models.
  • Engage/promote solutions to strategic vendors and have an agnostic approach to security.
  • Align with vendors to ensure maximization of profitability.
  • Build high levels of trusted customer relationships.
  • Continuously update skills and knowledge to keep up with market changes.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of security architectures and technologies including assessment methodologies and compliance standards.
  • Knowledge of security standards and compliance like PCI, HIPAA, Sarbanes Oxley, ISO 27001, NIST, CSF, COBIT, ITIL, SANS 20.
  • Understanding of risk assessment, risk procedures, security assessment, vulnerability management, and penetration testing.
  • Proven knowledge of solutions from vendors like Palo Alto Networks, SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, Cisco Security, Fortinet, Fire Eye, Splunk, F5, RSA, ForeScout, LogRhythm, Okta.
  • Experience in preparing RFP/RFI responses, proposals, and solutions.
  • Solid working knowledge of vendor programs and partner ecosystems.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud architecture and its security concerns.
  • Ability to sell both internally and externally to account managers, sales leadership, and customers.
  • Demonstrated comfort level leading CIO/CTO level presentations and solution demonstrations.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with sales, services, and the PMO team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organization skills, and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Leading industry certifications like CISSP, CCIE-Security, CISA, CISM, CEH, CHP, PCI-QSA are highly preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a pre-sales role.
  • Previous experience working for a systems integrator.
