About the position

The Cybersecurity Consultant at Presidio will be a key member of the Pre-Sales Engineering Team, responsible for engaging with customers to gather requirements for security-related business solutions and developing engineering solutions tailored to their needs. This role involves presenting cybersecurity solutions, providing technical leadership, and collaborating with sales teams to enhance customer relationships and drive sales.

Responsibilities

  • Understand client's business initiatives and requirements to map them into technical and security architectures.
  • Present and explain cybersecurity solutions to customers and guide them through requirements gathering.
  • Develop engineering solutions for security projects for Presidio customers.
  • Provide technical thought leadership in overall security solutions development.
  • Meet with customers to collect requirements for infrastructure solutions centered on Security Technologies.
  • Assist the sales team in identifying and qualifying opportunities with new and existing clients.
  • Design and provide 'data centric' security architecture and defense in depth solutions.
  • Support Security Solutions that include solutions from various leading industry vendors.
  • Design and demonstrate scalable security solutions that adapt to changing business requirements.
  • Align security solutions with customer's compliance requirements and industry standards.
  • Craft scope of work (SOW) with task lists and Bill of Material (BoM) for various projects.
  • Collaborate with the Presidio sales team to develop customer relationships and contribute to the sales process.
  • Establish status as a Trusted Advisor with Presidio customers.
  • Craft high-level solution designs/architecture and present to customers.
  • Collaborate with Presidio's Professional Services organizations on deployment models.
  • Engage and promote solutions to strategic vendors and new vendors with an agnostic approach to security.
  • Build high levels of trusted customer relationships and present at seminars and conventions.
  • Continuously update skills and knowledge to keep up with market changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience and/or military experience.
  • Minimum of 10+ years' experience in a Cybersecurity role involving design, development, and implementation of complex cybersecurity solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of security architectures and technologies, including assessment methodologies and compliance standards.
  • Proven knowledge of solutions from vendors like Palo Alto Networks, SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, and others.
  • Experience preparing RFP/RFI responses, proposals, and solutions.
  • Solid working knowledge of vendor programs and partner ecosystems.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud architecture and its security concerns.
  • Ability to sell solutions internally and externally to account managers and customers.
  • Demonstrated comfort level leading presentations and solution demonstrations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organization skills, and detail-oriented.

Nice-to-haves

  • Leading industry certifications like CISSP, CCIE-Security, CISA, CISM, CEH, CHP, PCI-QSA are highly preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a pre-sales role.
  • Previous experience working for a systems integrator.
