About the position

As a Cybersecurity Consultant Intern at Plante & Moran, you will engage in hands-on experiences that deepen your technical knowledge in cybersecurity. Responsibilities

• Assist clients with cybersecurity and IT audit challenges.
• Conduct SOC examinations to evaluate business process controls and IT general controls.
• Perform IT risk assessments and related controls-based auditing.
• Conduct compliance reviews for regulations such as GLBA, SOX, and HIPAA.
• Assist in cybersecurity standards maturity assessments like NIST and PCI DSS.
• Support periodic projects including research and special analysis for managers and partners.
• Develop relationships with clients and participate in networking/business development activities.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in accounting, information security, business administration, finance, management information systems, or a related field.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• On track to complete the requisite degree and obtain relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CISA).
