About the position

The Cybersecurity Consultant (The Security Strategist) is a pivotal role focused on designing and implementing security strategies to protect organizations from evolving cyber threats. This position involves working directly with clients to assess their security posture, develop tailored security solutions, and ensure compliance with industry standards. The consultant acts as a trusted advisor, helping clients navigate the complexities of cybersecurity and build long-term strategies to safeguard their digital assets.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough security assessments and audits of client environments to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and compliance gaps.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies for clients, including risk management frameworks, threat modeling, and security policies.
  • Assist clients in developing and refining incident response plans, ensuring they are prepared to detect, contain, and respond to cyberattacks.
  • Provide expert advice on industry regulations and compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001.
  • Design and implement security architectures and solutions that protect client systems, networks, and applications.
  • Perform risk assessments and threat analyses to identify potential attack vectors and weaknesses.
  • Provide training and awareness programs to educate client teams on cybersecurity best practices, threat awareness, and incident response.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of security frameworks, threat landscapes, and best practices, including experience with network security, encryption, identity management, and incident response.
  • Proven experience in cybersecurity consulting, with a track record of assessing security postures and developing strategic security solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Strong background in risk assessment, threat modeling, and regulatory compliance, with experience guiding clients through compliance challenges (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
  • Experience in developing incident response plans and guiding clients through real-world cyberattacks.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex security concepts to clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex security challenges and develop long-term strategies that protect clients against future threats.
  • A great sense of humor, fostering a productive and enjoyable work environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or similar are highly desirable.
