About the position
The Cybersecurity Consultant at Richey May is responsible for delivering IT and cybersecurity solutions to clients, focusing on evaluating security components and architectures, particularly in cloud environments. This role involves maintaining client security postures, addressing evolving threats, and ensuring compliance with industry standards, all while adhering to professional standards and client confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Deliver information technology and cybersecurity solutions to clients.
- Evaluate existing technical solutions and identify risk areas for clients.
- Provide technical expertise on security risks and mitigation practices.
- Maintain and enhance clients' security posture through cybersecurity solutions.
- Support partnerships with leading cloud solution providers.
- Proactively address changes in the threat landscape affecting clients.
- Develop and implement security architecture controls.
- Conduct routine cybersecurity assessments and monitoring.
- Draft assessment reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical personnel.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer security or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cybersecurity discipline.
- CISSP and OSCP certifications are a plus.
- Knowledge of NIST standards and cybersecurity control frameworks.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
