About the position

The Cybersecurity Consultant will be responsible for assessing and enhancing the security posture of client organizations. This role involves identifying vulnerabilities, implementing security measures, and providing strategic guidance to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. The consultant will work closely with clients to develop tailored security solutions that meet their specific needs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities in client systems.
  • Develop and implement security policies and procedures.
  • Provide recommendations for improving security posture based on assessment findings.
  • Assist clients in achieving compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Deliver training and awareness programs to client staff on cybersecurity best practices.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security measures into existing systems and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity consulting or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
  • Experience with security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability scanners.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are preferred.
  • Experience with cloud security and compliance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with risk management practices and methodologies.
