About the position

The Cybersecurity Deputy Project Manager at Guidehouse will play a crucial role in managing a large Federal Cybersecurity engagement. This position involves overseeing the planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment of an enterprise identity and credentialing system. The role requires coordination with technical leads and support teams, managing a diverse team of geographically distributed staff, and maintaining senior customer relationships. The Deputy Project Manager will support the Program Manager in driving the execution of staff activities and applying management techniques to resolve project issues.

Responsibilities

  • Support management of a large Federal Cybersecurity engagement.
  • Oversee planning, transition, design, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment of an enterprise identity and credentialing system.
  • Coordinate with technical leads and support teams to ensure inclusion of necessary milestones.
  • Manage a diverse team of geographically distributed support staff, including subcontractors.
  • Develop and maintain primary senior customer relationships at multiple levels of the organization.
  • Meet with the customer to review plans, progress, deliverables, and ensure alignment with contractual responsibilities.
  • Drive planning and execution of staff activity with technical leads and federal clients.
  • Identify appropriate personnel assignments to support execution of activities in line with the program master schedule.
  • Apply management, conflict resolution, and risk mitigation techniques to resolve project issues.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of consulting experience within the DoD or Federal space.
  • 8+ years of program or project management experience within the DoD or Federal space.
  • US Citizen with the ability to obtain Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • 8+ years of managing high performing teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple objectives concurrently.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with Government customer stakeholders on current cybersecurity topics.
  • Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines in a complex environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly and succinctly for a wide audience.
  • Expert level experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience managing teams supporting multiple business and technical elements of system design and development.
  • Experience overseeing enterprise IT modernization or migration engagements.
  • Program Management experience overseeing data management and migration, infrastructure architecture, and integration with other enterprise services.
  • Expert-level proficiency of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science.
  • Current PMI PMP Certification.
  • Security + or other cybersecurity-related certification.
  • Experience managing projects related to Identity Management and IAM Architecture.
  • Knowledge of guidance and documentation for IAM-related security policies.
  • Experience developing and briefing materials on IAM architecture and implementation.
  • Experience with critical Federal mandates related to cybersecurity.
  • Experience in HSPD-12 / PIV system business processes.
