About the position

The Cybersecurity Engineer/Analyst position at Trigyn Technologies involves a comprehensive role focused on implementing, administering, and utilizing various cybersecurity tools, systems, and applications. The primary objective is to develop and enforce policies, standards, and guidelines that ensure secure operations across the enterprise, enhancing performance and resiliency. The successful candidate will be responsible for deploying, administering, and supporting security systems and infrastructure, which includes endpoint protection, intrusion detection and prevention systems, application layer and traditional firewalls, as well as vulnerability management and forensics utilities. These systems are critical components maintained by the Information Security Office. In this role, the engineer/analyst will develop strategic plans to safeguard sensitive information against unauthorized access, modification, and destruction, while ensuring the continuity of organizational operations. A significant part of the job will involve monitoring, researching, and responding to cybersecurity-related events and incidents, such as detecting malicious code, managing intrusions, and addressing system configuration and patch management issues. The candidate will also conduct risk assessments and audits to validate that system functionality and security controls are implemented appropriately, adhering to established policies and industry best practices. Additionally, the position requires conducting organization-wide user cybersecurity training and outreach to promote awareness and best practices among employees. Staying current with industry developments, standards, trends, and evolving technology and cybersecurity threats is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Experience in monitoring and responding to cybersecurity incidents.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment and audit processes.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in cybersecurity.
