About the position

Lockheed Martin is seeking a full-time early career cybersecurity engineer to join the Trident program in Uniondale, NY. The role involves learning about the Trident program and collaborating with the cybersecurity team to develop and implement effective cybersecurity solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, as well as relevant technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn about the Trident program and its cybersecurity requirements.
• Develop and implement cybersecurity solutions in collaboration with the Trident cybersecurity team.
• Engage in security auditing and cyber-hardening activities.
• Administer Linux and Windows systems, including installation, configuration, and updates.
• Develop scripts using languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in Software, Computer, or Cybersecurity from an accredited college.
• Academic or professional experience with cybersecurity concepts and principles.
• Experience with Linux and Windows system administration.
• Experience developing scripts in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages.
• Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a government security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience developing software in C, C++, and/or Java.
• Experience with cryptographically hashing system audit tools.
• Experience with PKI-based authentication implementations.
• Experience conducting vulnerability assessments.
