About the position

The Cybersecurity Engineer III (Assessor) position at Sabre Systems, Inc. is a critical role focused on enhancing the cybersecurity posture of our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, upgrading, and monitoring cybersecurity measures to improve cyber defense and maintain a cyber-resilient network. This role requires a proactive approach to assessing cybersecurity vulnerabilities, identifying risks, and proposing and implementing effective remediation actions or risk mitigation strategies. The engineer will ensure that appropriate security controls are in place to safeguard digital files and electronic infrastructure, thereby protecting sensitive information from potential breaches. In addition to these responsibilities, the Cybersecurity Engineer III will respond to computer security breaches, re-establish protections, and make the necessary reports to relevant stakeholders. The position is primarily based in Crane, Indiana, with the expectation that candidates will work on-site as needed. The role also involves travel, with a requirement of 25-50% travel to NSWC Crane and/or Washington DC, Navy Yard, and potentially to various CONUS and OCONUS sites. Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science, or an equivalent qualification. A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in cybersecurity engineering is required, along with relevant certifications such as Information Assurance Management (IAM) or Information Assurance Technical (IAT) or Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level I, as per DoD 8570.1M. Additionally, candidates must have a SECRET clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET clearance. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science or equivalent.
  • 10 years of professional experience with cybersecurity engineering.
  • Information Assurance Management (IAM) or Information Assurance Technical (IAT) or Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level I certification per DoD 8570.1M.
  • Must have a SECRET clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET clearance.
