About the position

The Cybersecurity Engineer Intern will support the implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of security measures to protect computer systems, networks, and information. This role provides hands-on experience in cybersecurity and data analytics, allowing for professional development and career growth.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of security policies, protocols, and procedures.
• Monitor system security operations and report incidents.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security measures.
• Perform data analysis, generate reports and assist in the development of dashboards and visualizations.
• Identify trends, patterns, and correlations in data sets.
• Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technology solutions.

Requirements

• Students pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Business or a related field, with less than 2 years relevant work experience, graduating December 2025 or later.
• Strong communications skills, specifically, the absence of repeated grammatical or typographical errors, clear and concise written and spoken communications, and communications that demonstrate professional judgment.

Nice-to-haves

• Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or Python and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).
• Familiarity with network security tools, operating systems (Windows, Linux) and networking concepts.
• Knowledge of database management and automated server patching.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and a passion for working with data.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance standards.
• Experience with machine learning algorithms.
