About the position

The Cybersecurity Engineer will play a critical role in safeguarding the organization's digital assets by designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security solutions. This position is essential for protecting systems, networks, and data from cyber threats, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and promoting security awareness within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security architectures for networks, systems, and applications.
• Conduct regular threat assessments and risk analysis to identify potential vulnerabilities and security risks.
• Develop and implement incident response plans and procedures to effectively respond to security breaches and cyberattacks.
• Monitor security systems and logs to detect and respond to security incidents and anomalies.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate vulnerabilities in systems and applications through vulnerability scanning and patching.
• Perform penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and other security testing methodologies to identify weaknesses.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS.
• Promote security awareness and training programs for employees.
• Collaborate with IT teams, business units, and other stakeholders to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or a related role.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including network security, application security, and data protection.
• Proficiency in security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, SIEM, and encryption technologies.
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) and automation tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) preferred.
