In addition to risk assessments, the Cybersecurity Engineer will address and resolve cybersecurity incidents, ensuring that any breaches or threats are managed effectively. The role requires the simplification of complex security data into understandable reports for stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making. The engineer will also enhance cybersecurity operations by integrating new tools and processes that improve the overall security posture of the organization. Collaboration is key in this role, as the Cybersecurity Engineer will work closely with business leaders to develop security risk solutions that are practical and effective. Managing risk and compliance issues across the organization is a significant responsibility, as is the development of contingency plans, business continuity strategies, and disaster recovery efforts to ensure the organization can respond effectively to any incidents. The position also involves maintaining a centralized dashboard that tracks cybersecurity risks and statuses, providing real-time insights into the organization's security landscape. Furthermore, the Cybersecurity Engineer will be tasked with integrating and maintaining CMMC 2.0 standards and certification, ensuring that the organization meets all necessary compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 6+ years in IT with a focus on cybersecurity and compliance.
  • CISSP, CISM, or similar certification.
  • Knowledge of NIST-800, SOC, GDPR, SOX compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and NIST-800 framework.
