About the position

As a Cybersecurity Engineer at SNI Companies, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our organization's technology systems and data. This full-time, permanent position requires you to be a proactive leader within our IT team, focusing on the development, implementation, tuning, management, and maintenance of cybersecurity systems, processes, policies, and procedures. Your primary objective will be to protect the organization against various cyber threats, ensuring that our technology infrastructure remains secure and resilient. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments of our security systems and configurations, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP) measures. You will also perform network and physical security vulnerability assessments and testing, identifying potential weaknesses and recommending solutions to mitigate risks. Your expertise will be essential in reviewing requests for additional personnel access, ensuring that only authorized individuals have access to sensitive information and systems. Additionally, you will be tasked with performing security-related assessments, tracking findings, and seeking out innovative solutions to address emerging security concerns. This position will initially require you to work onsite in the Tysons Corner, VA area for training, after which you will transition to a hybrid work schedule, allowing for a blend of remote and in-office work.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement cybersecurity systems, processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct network security vulnerability assessments and testing.
  • Perform physical security vulnerability assessments and testing.
  • Review security-related systems and their configurations, including DLP.
  • Assess requests for additional personnel access.
  • Perform security-related assessments and track findings.
  • Seek out new solutions to address security concerns.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in cybersecurity engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of anti-malware and system configuration.
  • Experience in conducting vulnerability assessments and testing.
  • Ability to assess security-related systems and configurations.
  • Familiarity with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) strategies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH).
  • Experience with security tools and technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
