Under general direction, and supported by light coaching and mentorship, this role works with cutting-edge security solutions within Liberty Mutual's physical data centers and cloud environments. The primary responsibility of this position is to design, implement, manage, and monitor the organization's overall security posture. This role requires collaboration with teams across the company to continually optimize our security posture while maintaining a hyper-focus on the reliability and stability of our business environments. The position supports secure application development initiatives that require innovation, automation, and integration. It involves collaborating with developers and engineers in the US Retail Market (USRM) to produce secure applications and implement cybersecurity controls. The role also includes managing, developing, deploying, and supporting security solutions globally, which encompasses regional data centers, Liberty Mutual local offices, and cloud environments. Additionally, the position supports security incidents, service delivery, technology configuration and lifecycle, and technical security investigations and forensic collection. As a leading team member, this role supports security projects or subprojects of increasing complexity and acts as a key member of an agile team focused on providing support to the analysis, system design, documentation, testing, and implementation of highly complex security operations and processes. The position provides cybersecurity consultation services to business operations, key business decisions, and technology implications within a single business process, identifying business process improvements that address highly complex functional and technology gaps. The ideal candidate will be proficient in many cybersecurity technologies and expert in some, with a strong understanding of IT concepts, strategies, and methodologies, as well as security aspects of multiple platforms, operating systems, software, communications, and network protocols. Excellent negotiation skills, oral and written communication skills, and consultative skills are essential, along with the ability to understand and assist in applying customer requirements. Leadership within agile working environments, including both SCRUM and KANBAN, is also a key aspect of this role, requiring collaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skills.
