About the position

This company is the largest power futures exchange in North America, specializing in derivatives exchange that offers price, credit, and liquidity risk management to its participants. They have introduced the world's largest array of environmental and electric power futures and options contracts. The organization is seeking innovative individuals to join their team in Tyson's Corner, where candidates will initially be required to work in the office daily, with a hybrid schedule (minimum of 3 days in the office) negotiable after the initial period. The ideal candidate for the Cybersecurity Engineer position should possess a strong passion for technology and a proven track record in a Cyber/Information Security role. The role involves a variety of responsibilities, including conducting network security vulnerability assessments and testing, as well as physical security vulnerability assessments. The candidate will be responsible for evaluating requests for additional personnel access and developing new solutions to address security issues. Additionally, the role includes assisting in reviews of security-related systems and their configurations, such as Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Anti-Malware, and System Configuration. The Cybersecurity Engineer will also be tasked with reviewing and assessing security intelligence, conducting security-related assessments, and tracking findings. The position may require performing additional team duties as needed, making it essential for candidates to be adaptable and proactive in their approach to cybersecurity challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct network security vulnerability assessments and testing.

Requirements

  • Over 4 years of experience in a technically oriented Cyber or related role.
  • Over 4 years of experience in a direct technical role.
  • Extensive knowledge of technology and security-related subjects.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis now and in the future.
