The CERT Cyber Mission Readiness (CMR) directorate is dedicated to ensuring that the United States and its partners are prepared to counter adversarial aggression in cyberspace. This is achieved through the development of large-scale, hands-on exercises that simulate advanced threats, as well as smaller, on-demand exercises aimed at targeted skills assessment. The CMR team also produces and facilitates tabletop exercises, runs cybersecurity competitions, and creates custom, open-source solutions to assist customers in fulfilling their cyber missions. By collaborating with government mission partners, CMR identifies and addresses gaps that impede their ability to respond to rapidly evolving adversary tactics in cyberspace. The core strength of CMR lies in its supportive and highly collaborative culture, emphasizing the importance of the mission to equip the nation and its partners with the necessary tools and capabilities to neutralize cyber threats. As a member of the CMR team, you will collaborate with fellow team members to develop and deliver cybersecurity readiness capabilities, programs, and software for various U.S. Government departments, agencies, and associated organizations. While not essential, there will be opportunities to engage in applied and fundamental research in cybersecurity, software engineering, and artificial intelligence. The ideal candidate will possess a strong intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn new concepts and skills alongside their teammates, as attitude is considered paramount in this role. The CMR team provides numerous internal and external training and professional development opportunities, fostering an environment of cross-training and mentoring among team members.
