About the position

Chickasaw Nation Industries is seeking a Cybersecurity Functional Analyst to support the Connection Approval Office (CAO) within the DISA TASS program located in Annapolis Junction, MD. This role involves processing connection approval packages, ensuring quality assurance, and conducting cybersecurity analysis in accordance with established Department of Defense (DoD) policies and Connection Approval Branch Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating core competencies into daily functions, which include a commitment to integrity, quality of work, and supporting the financial goals of the company. The analyst will also promote compliance with all applicable regulations and foster an environment where violations can be reported without fear of reprisal. In this position, the Cybersecurity Functional Analyst will resolve customer issues related to workflow quality assurance and cybersecurity analysis, as well as manage the data content of CAO databases. This includes detecting and correcting inaccuracies in records and providing quality assurance activities, such as managing organizational mailboxes. The analyst will assess the cybersecurity impact of all connections to the DISN unclassified and classified systems, review mission partner component systems, and ensure that security features are implemented effectively. The role requires a proactive approach to self-development and the ability to plan daily activities to maximize output while adhering to company policies and supervisor instructions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analyzing business and user needs, documenting requirements, and translating them into system specifications. They should be self-motivated, able to communicate technical information clearly, and possess excellent organizational and time management skills. The position demands exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as superior customer service and relationship management skills. The Cybersecurity Functional Analyst will work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating integrity and professionalism throughout their work.

Responsibilities

  • Process connection approval packages and ensure quality assurance.
  • Conduct cybersecurity analysis in accordance with DoD policies and SOPs.
  • Promote compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Resolve customer issues related to workflow and cybersecurity analysis.
  • Manage data content of CAO databases, correcting inaccuracies.
  • Provide quality assurance activities, including managing organizational mailboxes.
  • Assess the cybersecurity impact of connections to DISN systems.
  • Review mission partner component systems and network connection packages.
  • Aid in self-development through available training opportunities.
  • Plan daily activities to maximize output within company guidelines.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in a DoD or technical environment.
  • AS or BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related discipline preferred (experience may substitute for degree).
  • Active DoD Secret clearance required.
  • One of the following DoD 8570 certifications: CCNA, Security CySA, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP.
  • Experience in business and user needs analysis, documentation of requirements, and system specifications.
  • Proficiency in requirements gathering and user interface functionality.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with industry methods for process improvement and organizational design.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and manage customer service effectively.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Access, Excel, Word, Outlook).
